Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ohm Melet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Cortazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Melet might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to partingtime. Ohm Melet had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ohm Melet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Julio Cortazar! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Melet looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Cortazar lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Melet misses with a wild combination.
Melet staying out of range there. Cortazar connects with a good right hand that stumbles Melet. Melet circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Ohm Melet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cortazar thuds his right hand into Melet's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cortazar lands a nice shot that snaps Melet's head back.
Melet shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cortazar sprawls well. Cortazar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Melet gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Melet with a lazy takedown attempt and Cortazar counters with a left to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ohm Melet. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cortazar throws a body punch but Melet moves out of range. Melet tried to counter with a leg kick but Cortazar avoided it. Melet darts in looking for a takedown but Cortazar gets double underhooks and turns Melet into the cage. Cortazar scores with a crisp jab that stopped Melet in his tracks. Decent striking displayed by Cortazar there. Melet tries to close the distance and clinch but Cortazar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Melet throws a leg kick and Cortazar counters with a nice low kick that buckles Melet's knee momentarily. Melet shoots in but no luck this time. Cortazar throws out a counter right but Melet avoids it with no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Melet fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cortazar leaves Melet with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cortazar lands a head kick. Melet smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Melet tries to clinch but Cortazar moves away and Cortazar counters with a three punch combo that has Melet backing up. Melet nods at Cortazar to acknowledge the strikes.
Melet is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Melet shoots and misses and Cortazar counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Julio Cortazar! Ohm Melet was interviewed post fight and said 'thank you fans for the support. I will have revenge...'.
