Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mincho Spasov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves comes to the ring accompanied by Sick Puppies - You're Going Down. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mincho Spasov!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Spasov.
Alves went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Spasov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Alves throws a series of punches but Spasov avoids them all with ease.
Spasov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alves sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spasov somewhat.
Alves went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ricardo Alves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mincho Spasov.
Alves swats away the attempt to clinch by Spasov.
Alves keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alves pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Spasov back to the ropes. Alves follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Mincho Spasov has been cut.
Spasov takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Spasov is rocked!
Spasov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Alves paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Alves moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Spasov is still on wobbly legs! Can Alves finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spasov has his takedown stuffed
and Alves counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Alves lands a huge takedown. Spasov is out but the ref is slow to react and Alves lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Spasov lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricardo Alves!
Ricardo Alves decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
