Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jb Nnep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavel Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pavel Cross will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nnep takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Nnep has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cross finds it's way round the side to connect with Nnep's head.
Nnep is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Nnep fails to land the takedown.
Cross scores with a jab to the head.
Nnep tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cross swivels and escapes.
Cross cracks Nnep with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nnep shoots in looking for a takedown. Cross tries to sprawl out of it but Nnep keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cross manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jb Nnep. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cross is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nnep knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Cross scores with a crisp jab that stopped Nnep in his tracks.

Nnep closes the distance and clinches up with Cross, looking for a takedown. Nnep pushes Cross against the cage but Cross circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cross wants to improve his position but Nnep is controlling well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nnep connects with a nice short shot to Cross's temple.
Nnep lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Nnep slips a nice elbow through Cross's hands, connecting with Cross's forehead.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
