Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Run Forcover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Martin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Run Forcover! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Forcover throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Martin was covering up waiting for the punch and Forcover finishes the takedown easily into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Forcover looking to pass the guard. Forcover trying to control but Martin is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Forcover is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Martin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Forcover is looking to advance position but Martin has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Forcover avoids a series of strikes thrown by Martin.
Martin cracks Forcover with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Forcover is desperately trying to improve his position but Martin has a good base and remains in mount. Forcover holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Martin tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Forcover wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Martin.

Forcover avoids a strike by Martin and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Martin's guard! Fantastic escape!
This has been an exciting period of action! Forcover stands and throws Martin's legs to the side, diving into side control. Forcover trying to control the position but Martin is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Forcover tries to move into full mount but can't pass Martin's legs. Martin wants to control but Forcover postures up. Martin stops Forcover from passing to mount. Martin is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Forcover seems to be working for a kimura but Martin defends the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Martin is not content to let Forcover control the position. Martin is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Forcover is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. My spies in Mano`s Elite BJJ Gym inform me that Forcover has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Martin tries to roll over but Forcover keeps him under control.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Forcover sitting and controlling from the half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Forcover passes to full mount! Martin tries to lock up and control but Forcover gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Forcover moves to back control. Forcover is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Forcover wants to control but Martin is keeping him busy. Martin is looking to escape.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Martin just misses with a punch to the body.
Forcover shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Martin defends it nicely. A jab from Martin finds it's way through Forcover's defenses.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Martin misses with a low kick. Martin tests Forcover's chin there with a solid looking shot. Martin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Martin thows a left - swing and a miss! Forcover moves out of range of the strikes. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Forcover. A little feinted left hand from Martin on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Martin's corner calls for a 1-2. Martin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Forcover keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Martin. Forcover wants to counter the offense by Martin and move into the clinch position. Forcover looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Martin is fending him off so far but Forcover persists. Nope, Martin circles away and we're back to standing. Steve Martin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Run Forcover. Martin sets himself, and Forcover steps forward looking for the clinch! Martin avoids it this time. Forcover throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Martin's waist but Martin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Forcover off to one side. Forcover closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Martin quickly recovers to half guard. Forcover is just content to waste time from the top position. Martin takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Martin controls Forcover momentarily but Forcover frees himself.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Forcover trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Forcover controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Martin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Forcover is one step ahead there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Forcover works a leg free and moves into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Martin dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Forcover changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Martin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Martin wants to control but Forcover postures up. Forcover wants to lay and pray for a moment but Martin keeps working. Forcover passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Martin! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Forcover has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Martin is forced to tap!
