Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jon Howe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thai Thai Food!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howe has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Food.
Food chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Howe looks to score with a jab to the body but Food is just out of range.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Food.
Food comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Food dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Howe. That did some damage!
Food fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Howe.
Food throws a right and a left that both miss.
Howe takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


It looks like Jon Howe has been cut.
A jab from Food does it's job there.
Howe stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Food.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Howe closes the distance and clinches.
Howe dodges an elbow strike from Food.
A frustrated look appears on Food's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Food is trying to break the clinch but Howe has him pressed against the cage.
Food lands a damaging elbow.
Food lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


Jon Howe's cut is getting worse.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Food lands an elbow inside.


Jon Howe's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Food is looking to break free of the clinch but Howe has double underhooks.
Howe slowing the pace effectively.
Howe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Howe blocks an elbow strike.

Howe jumps guard but Food turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Howe jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Food walks away with a smile on his face. Howe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Food lands a left and a right that send Howe crashing to the mat, dazed. Food thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Howe is rocked!
Food ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Howe's jaw. Howe's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Food does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Thai Thai Food!
Thai Thai Food was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
