Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Lancier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Carey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lancier comes to the cage accompanied by Set To Fail. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Lancier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charles Carey! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lancier shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carey but Carey pushes him off and we're back to square one. Lancier feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lancier thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lancier trying to control the position from guard on top but Carey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carey not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lancier slips nicely into half guard. Carey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lancier. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lancier is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Lancier tries to pass the half guard into mount. Carey knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carey trying to control from the bottom.

Lancier wants to control but Carey is keeping him busy. Lancier is looking for a kimura here.
Lancier is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carey is just riding it out for now. Lancier eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lancier is thwarting Carey's attempts to control the position. Lancier seems to be working for a kimura but Carey defends the submission attempt. Lancier works his way into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lancier swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chris Lancier! In his post fight interview, Chris Lancier gave a big smile as he said 'You were set to fail'.
