Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Rocker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocker has chosen Ki:Theory - Stand By Me as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santiago Colon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Rocker! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rocker has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Colon. A slow jab from Rocker misses its intended target. Colon cracks Rocker with a right hand to the side of the head. Colon avoids a low kick by using good footwork. A punch lands to the side of Colon 's head but he takes it in his stride. Colon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rocker checks a leg kick. Colon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Rocker tries a low kick but Colon avoids it. Decent striking displayed by Colon there. Colon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rocker paws at him with a jab and circles away. Colon attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Rocker looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Rocker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Colon sees it coming and avoids it easily. Colon throws a nice outside leg kick. Colon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rocker circles away quickly and effectively. Colon misses with a low kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Colon takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Colon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rocker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Colon's jab looks to have found its range, popping Rocker under the eye. Rocker lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Colon misses with an uppercut. Rocker throws out a counter right but Colon avoids it with no problem. Rocker has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Colon ducks under a wild hook from Rocker. Rocker tries for a takedown but Colon circles away easily and Colon makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Colon throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rocker. A slow jab from Rocker misses its intended target. Colon misses with a head kick.
Rocker lands a head shot. Ricky Rocker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rocker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. As Colon backs off Rocker throws a huge counter combo but Colon manages to avoid it all. Rocker plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Rocker thuds a left hand into Colon's body. A jab from Rocker does it's job there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Colon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rocker feints the counter takedown. Rocker comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Colon lands a leg kick that knocks Rocker off balance momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A slapping leg kick lands for Colon.
Colon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Colon explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Rocker misses with a low kick. Rocker throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Colon motions for Rocker to come forward. Colon throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Rocker swings away with a leg kick that misses. Rocker avoids the body shot from Colon.
Santiago Colon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Colon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rocker has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rocker there as he acknowledges the shot. A slapping leg kick lands for Rocker.
Rocker looks to land a body kick but Colon moved away. Rocker tries a head kick but it misses.
Colon checks a leg kick. Colon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rocker.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rocker throws an overhand right that lands on Colon's shoulder, as Colon tries to avoid the shot. Rocker moves out of range as Colon strikes. Rocker tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Colon is looking to score with low kicks. Rocker connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Rocker connects with a high kick. Colon misses with a head kick.
Rocker with a nice cross. Colon tests Rocker's chin there with a solid looking shot. Colon bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Rocker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Colon thows a left - swing and a miss! Rocker bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Colon's head. Rocker throws a head kick but Colon moves out of range.
Colon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Colon throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rocker avoids a kick to the body.
Rocker moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Rocker throws a looping overhand right but Colon ducks down to avoid it. Rocker lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Colon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Colon wants to slow Rocker down by chopping away at his legs. Rocker is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Colon had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Rocker works Colon's body with a nice hook. Colon throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Colon looks to score with a jab to the body but Rocker is just out of range. Rocker lands a jab-cross combination. Colon throws a body punch but Rocker moves out of range. Rocker avoids a kick to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Colon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And Rocker tries to counter it with a takedown but Colon pushes his down on his head and steps out. Rocker tries to land a body kick enabling Colon to counter with a crisp jab. Rocker tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Colon is able to avoid easily. Colon throws a jab but it's blocked by Rocker. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ricky Rocker will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A jab from Rocker does it's job there. Rocker connects with the punch. Rocker misses with a looping right. Colon stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rocker. Colon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rocker. Rocker feints the counter takedown. Ricky Rocker seems to be getting the better of the standup. Colon fails in his attempt to clinch. Rocker defending well as Colon loads up on a big left hand. A slapping leg kick lands for Rocker.
Colon misses with a looping left. Rocker connects with a single shot there. Rocker scores with the left hand. Colon knows he should have avoided that one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A bone on bone clash there as Rocker blocks the leg kick.
Rocker is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Colon throws out a leg kick but Rocker moves out of range and Colon only half commits. Rocker fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rocker tries for a takedown but Colon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Rocker avoids the head kick by Colon.
Colon misses with a jab, cross combination.
That kick from Rocker tenderised Colon's leg. Colon is trying to keep his angry face on. Colon takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. A momentary lapse in concentration from Colon enables Rocker to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Colon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Rocker works a leg free and moves into half guard. Rocker not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Colon is looking to control Rocker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Colon avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rocker scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Colon on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Colon is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colon trying to control here.
Colon tries to get to full guard but Rocker has control of the leg. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Colon keeps control of the position for the meantime. Rocker is working for a submission of some sort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Colon avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rocker. Colon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Colon. Colon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rocker's guard. Colon preventing the sweep. Rocker throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Colon escapes and throws Rocker's legs to the side, diving into side control! Rocker tries to buck Colon off but Colon is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rocker sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Colon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rocker keeps working. Rocker wants to improve his position but Colon is controlling well.
Colon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rocker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Colon working over Rocker with some ground and pound. Rocker looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Colon trying to control from Rocker's half guard. Rocker has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Rocker is looking for a triangle but Colon pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricky Rocker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Rocker fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Colon checks it well. Santiago Colon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Colon is looking to slow Rocker down with leg kicks. Rocker cracks Colon with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Rocker jabs Colon right on the nose. Colon blinks but takes it well. Rocker connects with a body shot that sends Colon's belly button to the back. Rocker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rocker appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Rocker fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Rocker shoots in and bounces Colon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Rocker being controlled here momentarily. Rocker trying to control the position from guard on top but Colon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rocker stands and throws Colon's legs to the side, diving into side control. Colon is trying to control Rocker's posture but Rocker avoids it. Colon is not content to let Rocker control the position. Colon gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Colon is not content to let Rocker control the position. Rocker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Colon is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rocker working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Colon gets full guard. Colon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rocker manages to get himself to full guard.
Rocker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Colon throwing strikes from guard but Rocker blocks nicely. Rocker keeping moving, preventing Colon from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rocker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Colon wants to control but Rocker is keeping busy and won't allow it. Colon is in trouble now - Rocker has advanced to mount! Rocker landing punches. Rocker working Colon over with strikes here. Rocker putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Colon is bucking up trying to escape but Rocker cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Rocker avoids the attempt from Colon to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Colon is desperately trying to improve his position but Rocker has a good base and remains in mount. Colon regains half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Rocker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Colon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Colon is staying active underneath Rocker, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Colon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Colon trying to keep a closed guard but Rocker is proving a slippery customer.
Rocker lands a couple of digs. Rocker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Colon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rocker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rocker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that's the end of the fight! Ricky Rocker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rocker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Ricky Rocker! Ricky Rocker tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool. Santiago Colon was interviewed post fight and said 'Shit'.
