Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gerry Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pepo Vinkela!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinkela takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kelly lands with a shot to the body.
Kelly slaps away a takedown attempt from Vinkela, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kelly connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vinkela has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kelly connects with a solid leg kick.
Kelly uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Vinkela has time to react.
Vinkela slips a jab from Kelly.
Vinkela shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kelly scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kelly throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Vinkela walks into a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vinkela tries for a takedown but Kelly sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gerry Kelly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pepo Vinkela.

Vinkela fails with a takedown attempt.
Both fighters circling a little - Kelly finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kelly connects with a jab.
Vinkela shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kelly scores with a nice head shot.
Vinkela shoots in looking for a takedown. Kelly tries to sprawl out of it but Vinkela keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kelly manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kelly lands the left hand.
Vinkela moves forwards but Kelly connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kelly scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Vinkela has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Vinkela there as he acknowledges the shot.
Vinkela is rocked!
Gerry Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kelly drops Vinkela with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Vinkela! Kelly dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
