Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nich DiM (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Loblaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Loblaw has chosen Bob Loblaw Song as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Loblaw! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DiM scoring well with a low kick there.
DiM throws a head kick that misses. Loblaw tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but DiM swivels and escapes. DiM pivots, looking for a leg kick but Loblaw is out of range and DiM settles back down. DiM throws a hook but Loblaw blocks it. DiM circles away from the clinch attempt.

DiM throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Loblaw with the counter takedown but DiM avoids it easily. DiM bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Loblaw's head. DiM throws a head kick that misses. DiM connects with the punch. Loblaw checks the leg kick nicely there.

We've been hearing good reports from DiM's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. DiM is working hard here to advance position. DiM tries to lock up and control but Loblaw gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Loblaw lands a big elbow. DiM is looking to get to half guard. DiM taking shots to the head. DiM is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Loblaw can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as DiM is looking to escape. DiM tries to reverse the position but Loblaw maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Bob Loblaw will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

DiM wants to sweep here but Loblaw controlling him for the moment. Loblaw landing some decent shots from guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. DiM is trying to control the position but Loblaw postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. DiM has his foot on Loblaw's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Loblaw works his way back into a safe position though. DiM is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Loblaw throws a big elbow that misses. DiM preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Loblaw must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. A close third round but Bob Loblaw just about did enough to take it. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Loblaw works a leg free and moves into half guard. Loblaw looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks DiM with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Loblaw trying to control the action but DiM is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DiM is trying to get back to full guard. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. DiM regains full guard. Nicely done. Loblaw is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Loblaw postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! DiM covers up, he's hurt! Loblaw keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Loblaw and the ref steps in to end the fight! Loblaw can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

A very excited looking Bob Loblaw made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
