Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alex Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnost Paskalev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paskalev is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger. Alex Alvarez is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Alvarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arnost Paskalev! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paskalev has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Alvarez. Paskalev swings for the body but Alvarez moves out of range.
Paskalev misses with a takedown attempt - Alvarez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Alvarez tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Paskalev counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Alvarez seems keen to control Paskalev's posture. Paskalev pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alvarez is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paskalev postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Paskalev passes Alvarez's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Alvarez regains full guard. Nicely done. Paskalev is looking to advance position but Alvarez has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Alvarez with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Alvarez fails to move to back control. Alvarez trying to control but he's not successful this time. Alvarez lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alvarez tries to control but Paskalev wriggling away. Paskalev tries to get back to half guard but can't. Alvarez lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Paskalev is trying to escape the mount.

Paskalev tries to lock up and control but Alvarez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Alvarez prevents Paskalev from getting the reversal. Paskalev holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Alvarez tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
This has been an exciting period of action! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Alvarez with a couple of short strikes. Paskalev is trying to escape the mount.
Paskalev has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Paskalev keeps trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvarez goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Paskalev turns into him and now he's in Alvarez's guard.
Alvarez tries to land a sweep but no joy. Paskalev trying to control but Alvarez is working from the bottom. Alvarez keeping full guard, as Paskalev tries to pass. Alvarez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Paskalev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alvarez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Paskalev has managed to get both his arms back between Alvarez's legs - danger averted. Paskalev advances position into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Paskalev tries to advance to mount but Alvarez denies him. Paskalev tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Alvarez is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Paskalev off and has taken his back! Alvarez working for a choke but Paskalev is defending well. Alvarez looking to break Paskalev's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Paskalev remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Alvarez will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Alvarez working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Paskalev is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Alvarez has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Paskalev taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alex Alvarez! Alex Alvarez decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. In defeat, Arnost Paskalev stepped up to the mic, saying 'Honey Badger needs sleep now'.
