Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fujiyama Akagono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk comes to the cage accompanied by Midnite in Tokyo. Thomas Hawk could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fujiyama Akagono's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Thomas Hawk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fujiyama Akagono! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawk moves into range and connects with a jab. Akagono is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Akagono on the wrong end of a nice hook. Akagono pushes Hawk up against the cage in a clinch. Akagono tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Akagono told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Akagono looks to throw an elbow but misses. Hawk blocks an elbow strike. Hawk lands a takedown into guard.
Hawk might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hawk wants to control from the top but Akagono keeps moving. Akagono has momentary wrist control but Hawk slips an elbow through the middle. Akagono looking for a guillotine here but Hawk defends easily.
Hawk passes Akagono's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Hawk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk wants to pass the guard but Akagono is defending well. Hawk trying to control from half guard but Akagono is working away. Hawk winds up and cracks Akagono with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hawk wants to take a breather but Akagono is having none of it. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hawk connects with a nice short shot to Akagono's temple. Hawk is nestled in close to Akagono, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Akagono wants to improve his position but Hawk is controlling well.

Akagono is still in real trouble! Can Hawk finish him? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hawk breaks from Akagono's wrist control and lands an elbow. Hawk can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Akagono is looking to escape. Akagono seems to have recovered his senses. Hawk looking to finish Akagono with some ground and pound. This is bad for Akagono! Whack. That's a big, big shot from Hawk! Akagono is out cold! This one is all over!
