Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Master Roshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksei Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Aleksei Boyka enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Master Roshi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aleksei Boyka!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roshi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Roshi throws the left hand but Boyka avoids the punch easily.
Boyka takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


It looks like Aleksei Boyka has been cut.
Nice uppercut lands for Roshi. That snapped Boyka's head back.
No joy there for Roshi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Roshi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boyka.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boyka walks into a straight right hand from Roshi.
Crunch! Roshi slams his shin into Boyka's torso.

enabling Roshi to counter with a crisp jab.
A left lands for Roshi.
Roshi connects with a leg kick. Boyka looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Boyka changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Boyka dives in for a single leg takedown but Roshi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

We've been told by Roshi's head coaches at LOD: Contenders that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Roshi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Boyka backs up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boyka is trying hard to land a takedown here. Roshi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Master Roshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Roshi throws a shot from downtown. Boyka moves away and avoids it.
And Boyka tries to counter it with a takedown but Roshi pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Roshi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Boyka with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Roshi to score with a decent uppercut.
Roshi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Boyka looks to land a right hand but Roshi moved out of range.
Roshi misses with a double jab.
Nice uppercut lands for Roshi. That snapped Boyka's head back.
Boyka has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Roshi.

Roshi catches Boyka with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Roshi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Boyka drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Roshi defends it well.

Roshi lands a nice hook to Boyka's body. Boyka takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Roshi clobbers Boyka with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Boyka shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roshi as he jumps to the side.

Roshi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Boyka can do to turn this around?

Boyka on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Roshi throws a big shot that misses.
Boyka shoots in looking for a takedown but Roshi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boyka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
It looked like Roshi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Boyka goes for a double leg but Roshi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Roshi continues to drive forward.

Boyka drops back, looking for a kneebar! Roshi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Roshi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Roshi!

Boyka feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Roshi has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Boyka has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Roshi finds it's way round the side to connect with Boyka's head.

Roshi gets in close and tags Boyka with a short punch that almost sends Boyka to the mat! Oh Boyka is in big trouble! He turns his back on Roshi, trying to create some distance but Roshi rushes him, striking wildly and Boyka goes down! The referee tackles Roshi into the cage to end the fight! Roshi is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Master Roshi!
