Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Florencio Lara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Ito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Florencio Lara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Akira Ito!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lara is looking to clinch but Ito is avoiding it.
A head kick misses from Ito.
Lara checks the leg kick nicely there.
Ito stuffs the takedown.
Ito tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Ito throws a sloppy head kick
and Lara counters with a stiff right hand.
Ito misses with a body punch
letting Lara counter with a right hand.
Ito throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Lara drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ito sprawls and moves away.
Lara blocks a head kick by Ito.
Ito fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ito walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lara checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ito misses with a lunging right hand
and Ito takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lara tries to sprawl but Ito drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Ito wants to control but Lara is keeping him busy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lara wants to improve his position but Ito is controlling well.
Lara could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lara is looking to control Ito's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lara avoid being mounted?

Ito looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Lara has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ito is working away from the top position though.
Ito is looking for a kimura but Lara is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ito to get the leverage.
Ito has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lara wants to get back to full guard.
Ito perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Ito seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ito is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lara defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lara is refusing to be controlled, as Ito sits in half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ito is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lara doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ito.
Lara might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ito is trying to control the action in half guard but Lara is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Ito lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Lara quite badly. Lara pulls Ito in close trying to recover. Ito postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Lara on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Lara doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
