Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a lazy head kick
so Nixon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Davis looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nixon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Davis throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Davis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nixon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nixon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nixon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Davis for as long as he can get away with.
Nixon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Davis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A quick step to the side and Nixon tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Davis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nixon manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Davis has Nixon in his guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Davis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nixon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Nixon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nixon has managed to get both his arms back between Davis's legs - danger averted.
