Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Chew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Zorin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chew comes into the arena with Heart of a Champion blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marvin Chew!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Max Zorin!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zorin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Chew fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Chew closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zorin circles away.
Chew tries to clinch but Zorin moves out of range.
Zorin misses with a takedown
and Chew counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Zorin tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Zorin is looking for a triangle here but Chew uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Chew is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Zorin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Chew decides to stand back up. Chew steps back and let's Zorin get back to his feet.
Chew misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Chew has hold of Zorin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Zorin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Zorin is trying to escape the mount.
Zorin bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Chew lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Zorin!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

so Chew counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Chew stands and throws Zorin's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Chew is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Zorin has escaped the position, nice work there.

Chew wants to finish this one by submission but Zorin is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Chew.

Chew tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Zorin.
Chew wants to free his trapped foot but Zorin is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Chew is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zorin is just riding it out for now. Chew eventually gives up the hold.

Zorin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Chew is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Zorin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Chew's back instead.

Zorin throws a series of strikes and Chew wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.
