The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Izzat takes the fight into the clinch.
Izzat is trying to force a seperation but Tanaka has the dominant position.
Izzat gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tanaka.
Tanaka tries for a takedown but Izzat manages to get underhooks.
Izzat wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Tanaka has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Izzat after a bit of a struggle.
Mohamad Izzat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiro Tanaka.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Izzat creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Tanaka misses with a punch to the body.
Izzat is looking to break free of the clinch but Tanaka has double underhooks.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Izzat just misses with a elbow thrown towards Tanaka's brow.
Tanaka gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Izzat regains guard.

Tanaka thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Izzat looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tanaka is one step ahead there.
Tanaka pushing down on Izzat's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Tanaka is thwarting Izzat's attempts to control the position.
Tanaka is looking for a kimura but Izzat is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tanaka to get the leverage.

Tanaka is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tanaka is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Tanaka quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Tanaka but it's paid off an Izzat is forced to tap! Nice work by Tanaka.
