Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Smirnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mano Keurhorst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smirnov comes to the cage accompanied by Russian National Anthem. Mano Keurhorst will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nikolai Smirnov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mano Keurhorst! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keurhorst moves forwards but Smirnov connects with a nice, crisp jab. Smirnov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Keurhorst's guard. Smirnov content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Keurhorst is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Smirnov is controlling him. Smirnov scoring with some ground and pound. Keurhorst is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Smirnov is controlling him. Keurhorst is working an open guard so Smirnov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Keurhorst throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Smirnov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Keurhorst is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. A punch combination from Keurhorst misses. A combination from Keurhorst does no damage. Keurhorst will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Keurhorst throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smirnov shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Smirnov showed some decent athleticism there. Smirnov stops Keurhorst from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smirnov is taking a breather. Keurhorst says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Smirnov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Keurhorst is just riding it out for now. Smirnov eventually gives up the hold. Keurhorst wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Keurhorst wants to stand back up but Smirnov manages to pass into side control.
Smirnov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Keurhorst is trying to get back to his feet. Smirnov in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Keurhorst is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nikolai Smirnov!
