Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ichabod Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crane comes to the cage accompanied by Way of The Ninja. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Pedro Lopez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ichabod Crane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pedro Lopez! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crane lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
No luck for Lopez with that takedown attempt. Lopez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Crane throws a big shot that misses. Lopez with the counter takedown but Crane avoids it easily. Lopez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Lopez is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Crane swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lopez connects with a body shot that sends Crane's belly button to the back. Lopez misses with a hook. Lopez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Crane circles away. Lopez misses with a body shot
and Crane counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Crane looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Lopez ducks under a wild hook from Crane. And Lopez tries to counter it with a takedown but Crane pushes his down on his head and steps out. Lopez fails to land the takedown. Ichabod Crane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Lopez. Lopez slips under a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crane fails to land with a series of punches.
Lopez shoots in looking for a takedown. Crane tries to sprawl out of it but Lopez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Crane throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Lopez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Lopez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Crane, who protects the arm well. Lopez has an Americana. Crane didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Lopez is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Lopez hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
