Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Otto Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bentonic Velent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Otto Peterson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Otto Peterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bentonic Velent! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Velent to score an easy takedown into full guard. Peterson wants to stand and escape but Velent is having none of it. Peterson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Velent avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Velent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peterson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peterson working for a triangle but Velent defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson is looking to stand up but Velent isn't so interested in that idea. Velent has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Peterson is proving hard to escape from. Peterson wriggles free and stands up. Peterson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Velent changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Peterson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Velent looks winded!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterson sneaks back into half guard. Peterson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Peterson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Velent won't allow Peterson to get back to his feet. Peterson keeping moving, preventing Velent from controlling successfully. Peterson wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Velent manages to get himself to full guard.
Velent has his foot on Peterson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Peterson works his way back into a safe position though. Peterson drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Peterson seems to have locked his on tight now - Velent screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Peterson, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Otto Peterson! The defeated Bentonic Velent had this to say: 'I lost but I win next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'.
