The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Shipman looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mutou swats away the attempt to clinch by Shipman. Mutou attempts a counter takedown but Shipman avoids it well and moves away. Shipman doesn't manage to clinch there - Mutou circles away.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shipman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Shipman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mutou is one step ahead there. Mutou keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shipman's head. Shipman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Mutou half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Shipman gets in close and instigates a clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Mutou pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Shipman closes the distance and pushes Mutou back into the cage. Shipman tries to throw a body punch but Mutou avoids it by throwing Shipman back against the cage.

Shipman tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Mutou drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Shipman gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Shipman presses Mutou against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Shipman has Mutou pressed against the cage, preventing Mutou from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Shipman has clasped his hands together around Mutou's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Shipman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Shipman landing strikes.

Mutou manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Shipman thows a huge punch but Mutou dodges it nicely.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mutou is trying to get back to full guard. Shipman seems to be looking for submissions.
And that's the end of the fight! Harold Shipman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Shipman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
