Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rob Tracey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colt McLaren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tracey comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - Seek & Destroy. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Colt McLaren enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rob Tracey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, Colt McLaren!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - McLaren looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tracey fires out a quick counter leg kick but McLaren just manages to avoid it.
McLaren misses with a takedown attempt - Tracey sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

McLaren rushes Tracey and presses him up against the cage.
Tracey stalls.

McLaren tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Tracey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tracey takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
McLaren stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tracey.
Tracey wants to slow McLaren down by chopping away at his legs.
McLaren wants to counter with a clinch but Tracey pushes him away.
Rob Tracey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McLaren just misses with a punch to the body.

and Tracey counters with a stiff right hand.
Colt McLaren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Tracey counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
McLaren tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tracey paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McLaren pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
McLaren swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McLaren tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tracey was well out of range. Poor timing from McLaren.
McLaren lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
McLaren wants to clinch
and Tracey counters with an inside leg kick.
McLaren shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tracey as he avoids it easily.

The fighters circling - Tracey throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tracey circles away from the clinch attempt.
McLaren lands a leg kick that knocks Tracey off balance momentarily.
McLaren tries to clinch there but Tracey circles away.
Tracey throws a jab when McLaren was well out of range.
McLaren drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McLaren misses with a hook. Tracey ducked under it nicely.

McLaren throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tracey walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. McLaren checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Tracey looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
McLaren throws a sloppy body shot
and Tracey counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McLaren tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tracey throws a series of punches but McLaren moves out of range.
McLaren tries to counter with a clinch but Tracey shakes him off and moves away.

McLaren throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Rob Tracey has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McLaren throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tracey throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McLaren on the side of the head.
McLaren stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
McLaren darts in trying to clinch
and McLaren takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tracey works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
McLaren checks the leg kick nicely there.
McLaren tries to close the distance and clinch but Tracey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tracey fires out a quick counter leg kick but McLaren just manages to avoid it.
McLaren scores with a leg kick.
McLaren throws a predictable looking body shot
and Tracey counters with a nice body shot.
McLaren throws a head kick that misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McLaren on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rob Tracey will probably get the nod.

Tracey fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McLaren has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

McLaren bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

McLaren's corner calls for a 1-2. McLaren obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

McLaren on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Tracey.

McLaren throws a nice looking combination but Tracey bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Oh Tracey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Tracey counters with a three punch combo that has McLaren backing up. McLaren nods at Tracey to acknowledge the strikes.

Tracey was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Tracey tried to score with a low kick but McLaren checks it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

BOOM! McLaren lands a beautiful left hook that drops Tracey. Tracey tries to recover but McLaren is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Tracey lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
