Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Isa Musa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Lapis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lapis has chosen Once Solemn as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Lapis! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Musa digs a good body shot into Lapis's ribs. Musa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lapis moves away. Lapis drives through with a takedown into Musa's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Lapis wants to pass the guard but Musa is keeping the position. Lapis stopping the sweep attempt from Musa. Lapis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Musa works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Musa looking for a sweep. Lapis seems to be working for a kimura but Musa defends the submission attempt. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lapis jabbing away but nothing is landing. Musa swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Lapis lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lapis. Lapis thuds a left hand into Musa's body. Musa connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lapis momentarily.

Lapis lands with a cross. Horrible takedown attempt by Lapis or perhaps it was just good defense by Musa, which made it look bad. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Musa throws a big shot that misses. Lapis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Musa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lapis moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Musa throws a hook to the side of Lapis's head but Lapis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lapis is defended easily by Musa. That's one minute gone in the round. Lapis moves into range and connects with a jab. Lapis throws a lazy right hand but Musa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Musa lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Lapis is rocked! Lapis shoots in looking for a takedown but Musa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lapis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lapis is still on wobbly legs! Can Musa finish him? Isa Musa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrey Lapis. Musa slips a jab and a cross from Lapis.
Lapis seems to have recovered his senses. Lapis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Musa to the ground. Lapis is now in Musa's guard. Lapis trying to control the position from guard on top but Musa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Musa tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lapis trying to move into half guard but instead Musa has managed to sweep! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Musa's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Lapis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Musa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! This has been an exciting period of action! Lapis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Musa defends it easily. Musa lands a couple of decent looking shots. Musa chips away with some ground and pound. Musa content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Musa throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lapis works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Musa scoring with punches to the head and body. Lapis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Lapis is fighting to maintain full guard but Musa has managed to sneak the leg through. Musa is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Musa has control of Lapis's left arm, preventing Lapis from doing any damage. Musa wants to sweep but no luck. Lapis looking to sit in guard and control but Musa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Musa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Lapis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Musa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Musa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lapis working for a triangle but Musa defends it easily.

No, Musa has managed to get both his arms back between Lapis's legs - danger averted. Musa wants to control from the top but Lapis keeps moving. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Musa throws a big right hand that misses. Lapis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Musa with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. We've been hearing that Musa has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Musa postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Musa lands a couple of decent looking shots. Lapis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Musa is in close to Lapis's body, working some short punches and elbows. Musa cracks Lapis with a solid left hand. Lapis is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Musa frees his head nicely. Oh but Lapis has switched to an armbar! Musa is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
