Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Mackintosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Neil Patrick Harris!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mackintosh throws a hook but Harris blocks it.
Mackintosh wants to clinch up but Harris keeps it at a distance.

Mackintosh gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Harris to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Mackintosh seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Mackintosh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Mackintosh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harris got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mackintosh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Harris has managed to get both his arms back between Mackintosh's legs - danger averted.

Harris postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Mackintosh looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Harris has picked Mackintosh up and slammed him! Mackintosh can't keep hold of the triangle and Harris manages to pass to side control!

Harris thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Harris is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mackintosh knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mackintosh is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Harris off and has taken his back!
Harris trying to get back to his feet but Mackintosh is in full control for now.

Mackintosh is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Mackintosh is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Harris felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Harris defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

Harris has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mackintosh is proving hard to escape from.
Mackintosh tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Harris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mackintosh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mackintosh wants to sweep here but Harris controlling him for the moment.

Harris drops back looking for a leg! Mackintosh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mackintosh manages to kick Harris off! Harris jumps back into Mackintosh's guard.

Mackintosh is looking for a triangle here but Harris uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action!


Mackintosh lands with a nice combination. Harris backs away looking to recover.
That kick from Mackintosh tenderised Harris's leg. Harris is trying to keep his angry face on.
Mackintosh thows a left - swing and a miss!
Harris lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Mackintosh chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Mackintosh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Harris tries to avoid it but Mackintosh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Harris to the ground. Harris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mackintosh throws a series of punches but Harris moves out of range.

and Harris counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Mackintosh! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Harris!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Neil Patrick Harris!
After winning the bout, Neil Patrick Harris thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
