0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Grope McCarthy! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCarthy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Vargas looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Vargas missing with punches from the bottom.

McCarthy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vargas to the mat! Vargas manages to get full guard. McCarthy has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Vargas trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Vargas is wriggling around but McCarthy manages to pass to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Grope McCarthy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well McCarthy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
