Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evander Holyfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel has chosen Immortal Technique-Point of no return as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel lands a nice shot that snaps Holyfield's head back.
It looks like Evander Holyfield has been cut.
Holyfield takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Steel takes a swing at Holyfield's ribcage but misses.
Steel pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Holyfield connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A punch combination from Steel misses.
Steel jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Steel looks to land a combination but Holyfield avoids it well.
Steel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Holyfield counters with a nice uppercut.
Steel swats away the attempt to clinch by Holyfield.
Steel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A frustrated look appears on Steel's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Holyfield escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice shot lands for Steel.
Holyfield lunges at Steel with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Steel's hand.

Steel avoids the head kick by Holyfield.
Steel now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Holyfield lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Holyfield paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Holyfield misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Steel doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Holyfield scores with a nice head shot.
Holyfield thows a left - swing and a miss!
Steel lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Evander Holyfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Steel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Holyfield tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Steel defends well and Holyfield ends up having to push Steel into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Holyfield tries to close the distance and clinch but Steel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Steel misses with a lunging right hand
and Holyfield counters with a left and a right that stings Steel.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Steel throws a series of punches but Holyfield avoids them all with ease.
Steel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Holyfield.
Holyfield goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Steel throws a nice looking combination but Holyfield bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Holyfield.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Holyfield looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Steel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cory Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Holyfield lands a really nice looking cross but Steel seems unphased.
Steel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Holyfield was well out of range. Poor timing from Steel.
Holyfield feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Holyfield shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Steel as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evander Holyfield. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Holyfield throws a hook but Steel blocks it.
Holyfield misses with a few strikes there.
Steel looks to land a combination but Holyfield avoids it well.
Holyfield tries a low kick but Steel avoids it.
Holyfield jabbing away but nothing is landing.

It looks like Holyfield has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Holyfield stalks Steel and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Steel's face. Steel staggers backwards, shaken.

Holyfield shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Holyfield was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Steel is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Holyfield asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Holyfield throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Steel is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Holyfield asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Holyfield has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Steel is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Holyfield yanks on the arm and Steel is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Holyfield.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Evander Holyfield!
A relieved looking Evander Holyfield thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
