Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Ronman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronman comes into the arena with It's A Fight blaring out of the sound system. Bob Ronman is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bob Ronman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wes Smith!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Smith scores with a takedown into Ronman's guard.
Ronman is looking to stand up but Smith isn't so interested in that idea.
Smith drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ronman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ronman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ronman!
Ronman tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ronman wants to stand but Smith has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Ronman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ronman wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Smith utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ronman wants to stand and escape but instead Smith has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Smith is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ronman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ronman has escaped and now he's on top!
Smith has a closed guard, preventing Ronman from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ronman should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Smith has tightened it up now! Ronman should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Wes Smith!
Bob Ronman was interviewed post fight and said 'I was really looking to win this fight. I guess this isn't my day.'.
