Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jin Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Hayway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mishima comes into the arena with All I Do Is Win blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jin Mishima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Hayway! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mishima defending well as Hayway loads up on a big left hand. A cross from Hayway lands. A head kick misses from Hayway. Hayway dips to his left and cracks Mishima with an uppercut! Hayway doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Hayway with a jab. Hayway throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hayway lands with a good body shot. Hayway leaves Mishima with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. It seemed like Hayway was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Hayway misses. Mishima closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hayway to the mat! Hayway manages to get full guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mishima being controlled here momentarily. Hayway looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hayway looking for a sweep. Not yet Hayway, not yet. Hayway working for a triangle but Mishima defends it easily.
Hayway wants to sweep here but Mishima controlling him for the moment. Hayway is trying to control the position but Mishima postures up. Hayway has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mishima should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hayway has tightened it up now! Mishima should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Nathan Hayway! Our winner, Nathan Hayway, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
