Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sioux Sie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Kermodian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kermodian has chosen Arctic Monkeys - Mardy Bum as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Sioux Sie is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sioux Sie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
33 - 38 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Kermodian! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kermodian throws a leg kick which misses Sie's front leg but catches the back leg as Sie tries to avoid it. Kermodian throws a body punch but Sie moves out of range. Kermodian is looking to clinch but Sie is avoiding it.
Kermodian misses with a body kick. Kermodian swinging wildly here.
Kermodian connects with an inside leg kick. Kermodian throws the kick towards the body but Sie avoids it. Kermodian ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sie seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Mark Kermodian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kermodian walks into a straight right hand from Sie. Sie throws a nice outside leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sie throws a nice head kick!
Kermodian throws out a powerful jab. Kermodian tries a head kick but it misses.
Sie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sie fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sie tries to advance to mount but can't. Kermodian tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Sie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kermodian is working to avoid the ground and pound but Sie connects with a decent elbow. Kermodian tries to improve position but can't. Sie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kermodian keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kermodian tries to improve position but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kermodian parries the strikes from Sie easily there. Sie is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kermodian to escape.
Sie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kermodian, who protects the arm well. Sie tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Kermodian is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kermodian is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sie off and has taken his back! Kermodian struggling to keep hold of the position.
Sie trying to control but not successfully. I really don't envy Sie right now.
Kermodian somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Sie trying to control the action but Kermodian just sinks the hooks in. Kermodian is looking to control Sie but Sie is wriggling around and keeping busy. Sie is in bad spot here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here.
Sie tries to roll but Kermodian sticks to his back.

Kermodian controlling the position well here. Sie rolled but Kermodian kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Kermodian is hanging on to Sie's back as he tries to escape.
Sie is holding onto Kermodian's left hand, preventing any choke attempts. Kermodian is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Sie turns into Kermodian and is now in his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sioux Sie will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kermodian lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sie's sensitive parts. A slow jab from Sie misses its intended target. A jab from Sie misses. Kermodian is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sie tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Sie shoots in and drives through. Kermodian sprawls well. A countering left hand to the body from Kermodian misses. Sie with a nice cross. Kermodian tries for a takedown but Sie sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sie attempts a counter takedown but Kermodian avoids it well and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sie dips to his left and cracks Kermodian with an uppercut! Kermodian throws a chopping leg kick but Sie manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Kermodian does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Sie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kermodian is trying to defend but Sie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Sie is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kermodian has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kermodian keeps working. Sie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Kermodian is pressing down on Sie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Sioux Sie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sie controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sie trying to control but Kermodian is working from the bottom. Sie pushes down on Kermodian's leg and manages to get into half guard. Sie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sie missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Sie moves into full mount! Kermodian won't be happy about that! Kermodian trying to control but Sie postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sie connects with a nice short shot to Kermodian's temple. Sie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kermodian defends it well. Sie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sie wants to take a breather but Kermodian is having none of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sie throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sie sitting and controlling from the half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Sie trying to mount his opponent but Kermodian defends it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sioux Sie dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
A telegraphed right hand from Kermodian misses the target. As Kermodian backs away, Sie returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Sie getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Sie tests Kermodian's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kermodian throws a head kick that misses and Sie counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kermodian is defending against the submission attempts here by Sie.
Sie with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kermodian is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sie showed some decent athleticism there. Kermodian looking for submissions off his back. Kermodian wants to improve his position but Sie is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kermodian is just riding it out for now. Sie eventually gives up the hold. Sie is looking to take a break and control but Kermodian is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sioux Sie is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sie prevents Kermodian from improving his position. Sie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Sie throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Kermodian to regain full guard. Sie pushing down on Kermodian's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sie works his way into full mount! Kermodian tries to reverse the position but Sie maintains control.
And that's the end of the fight! Sioux Sie showed his dominance in that final round. Well Sie has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
