Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Alvarado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalum Jugam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jugam comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Borneo Head Hunter Theam 3 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samuel Alvarado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kalum Jugam! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Skip Squint and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jugam shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Alvarado is trying to defend but Jugam finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Alvarado tries to kick Jugam off but Jugam keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Alvarado wants to control but Jugam is keeping busy.
Jugam stops Alvarado from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alvarado wants to get back to full guard. Alvarado really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Alvarado pushes Jugam off and gets back to his feet. Alvarado closes the distance and clinches.

Alvarado is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jugam avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Alvarado postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jugam is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Alvarado, into his guard. Alvarado tries to strike from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jugam stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Alvarado to get to his feet. Alvarado has managed to clinch.
Jugam tries to throw a body punch but Alvarado avoids it by throwing Jugam back against the cage. Jugam misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Alvarado.
Jugam jumps into guard, dragging Alvarado to the mat.
Alvarado is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jugam is trying to hold Alvarado in close to prevent damage but Alvarado has managed to pass into half guard.

Kalum Jugam dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jugam drives through with a takedown into Alvarado's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Alvarado is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jugam is aware though and is defending well. Alvarado is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jugam is controlling him. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Alvarado wants to control but Jugam is keeping busy.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Jugam fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Alvarado sprawls well initially but Jugam persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jugam throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jugam wants to free his trapped foot but Alvarado is holding on for dear life with his legs. Alvarado is trying to stand up here but Jugam is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvarado kicks off Jugam and gets to his feet. Jugam moves into the clinch. Jugam tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Jugam landing knees to the body.
Jugam jumps guard and drags Alvarado to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Alvarado is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Alvarado looking to sit in guard and control but Jugam gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jugam wants to stand and escape but instead Alvarado has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Jugam tries to land a sweep but no joy. Alvarado trying to control the position from guard on top but Jugam is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jugam wants to sweep but no luck. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jugam being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kalum Jugam showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Jugam shoots in and bounces Alvarado off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jugam wants to stand but Alvarado has a closed guard, so he can't escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alvarado had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jugam defends it easily. Alvarado looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jugam has picked Alvarado up and slammed him! Alvarado can't keep hold of the triangle and Jugam manages to pass to side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvarado manages to get back to half guard. Alvarado pushes Jugam off looking to stand but Jugam dives back in and keeps control.
Jugam stands up from half guard. Jugam gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Alvarado has hold of one of Jugam's legs. Jugam is fighting the takedown attempt but Alvarado gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alvarado lands a couple of elbows. Alvarado stops Jugam from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alvarado postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jugam not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Alvarado lands a couple of elbows. Alvarado throws a big right hand that misses. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Alvarado wants to control from the top but Jugam keeps moving.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jugam enables Alvarado to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jugam manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Alvarado scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Alvarado stays in close to Jugam's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jugam is looking to stand up but Alvarado isn't so interested in that idea. Alvarado throws a big right hand that misses. Alvarado not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Alvarado working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Jugam being controlled here, momentarily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jugam moves into the clinch successfully.

Samuel Alvarado has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kalum Jugam is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jugam decides to pull guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Kalum Jugam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jugam has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Kalum Jugam! A less than humble Kalum Jugam misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
