Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sosa looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tyson can do anything to dispel that myth.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tyson is on top in guard.

Sosa wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sosa throws his legs up looking for a submission but Tyson uses it to pass to side control.

You can see the frustration on Sosa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Tyson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sosa, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tyson lands a few punches from side control.

Tyson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Sosa is trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Tyson shoots in for a double leg but Sosa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Tyson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sosa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sosa is working to avoid the ground and pound but Tyson connects with a decent elbow.

Tyson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sosa has escaped the position, nice work there.

Tyson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sosa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Despite the aggression on Tyson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

and Sosa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Sosa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tyson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sosa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tyson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jonathon Sosa will probably get the nod.

That's time! Sosa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Tyson shoots in looking for a takedown. Sosa tries to sprawl out of it but Tyson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sosa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tyson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sosa on his heels. He'll look to pass Sosa's guard now, I'm sure.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jonathon Sosa.
I think Sosa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
