Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between joey maitland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cj Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think maitland might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hatebreed - I will be heard. Cj Kennedy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kennedy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
maitland is trying to control but can't.
maitland moves into full guard.
Kennedy throws a big right hand that misses.

Kennedy wants to pass the guard but maitland is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kennedy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
maitland tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kennedy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kennedy throws a nice looking combination but maitland bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
