Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chan Sung Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Dorozhkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dorozhkin has chosen SMC HOODRATS as his entrance music. Chan Sung Aoki has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chan Sung Aoki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anton Dorozhkin!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dorozhkin throws a low kick but Aoki avoids it.
Aoki changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Aoki looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.


It looks like Chan Sung Aoki has been cut.
Aoki tries for a takedown but Dorozhkin circles away easily
and Dorozhkin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Aoki thinking.
Aoki blocks a head kick by Dorozhkin.
Aoki closes the distance and clinches up with Dorozhkin, looking for a takedown. Aoki pushes Dorozhkin against the cage but Dorozhkin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Aoki appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aoki seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Aoki is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dorozhkin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Dorozhkin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Aoki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Aoki feinted with a counter takedown.
Aoki fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dorozhkin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dorozhkin throws a head kick that Aoki semi-blocks.

Dorozhkin tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Aoki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aoki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Dorozhkin wants to control but Aoki postures up.
Dorozhkin is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Aoki throws an elbow but Dorozhkin slips to the side and avoids it well.
Dorozhkin takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Aoki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dorozhkin keeps working.

Aoki is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Dorozhkin still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Dorozhkin has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aoki doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dorozhkin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Dorozhkin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dorozhkin throws a head kick but Aoki moves out of range.

Aoki is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dorozhkin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dorozhkin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Aoki's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Aoki's back!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Dorozhkin really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Aoki.
Dorozhkin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dorozhkin has the hooks in. Aoki is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Dorozhkin is not going to allow Aoki to sit and survive in this position.
