Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Russell Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Shearer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shearer comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Big Sean kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Andy Shearer has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Russell Palmer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andy Shearer! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palmer dives in for a single leg takedown but Shearer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Palmer avoids the head kick by Shearer.
Shearer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Palmer has hold of one of Shearer's legs. Shearer is fighting the takedown attempt but Palmer gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Shearer being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Palmer gets to his feet. Shearer looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Palmer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Palmer gets tackled into the cage by Shearer. Shearer maintains the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Palmer lands a nice elbow. Shearer tries to circle away but Palmer has him pinned against the cage. Shearer is trying to break the clinch but Palmer is controlling him. Shearer can't break the clinch.
Palmer gets a trip takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Palmer is controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palmer missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Shearer pushes Palmer off looking to stand but Palmer dives back in and keeps control.

Palmer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Shearer for as long as he can get away with.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Palmer throws a nice looking combination but Shearer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Palmer throws a jab when Shearer was well out of range. The fight moves into the clinch position. Shearer breaks the clinch.
Shearer throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Palmer lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Palmer lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Palmer. Shearer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oooooh!!! Shearer has knocked Palmer down with a huge combo! Shearer steps away and waves a wobbly Palmer back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Russell Palmer has been cut. Shearer drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Palmer right on the button. Palmer goes down! Shearer follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Shearer gets the win via TKO!
