Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Greg Horace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carl Jones!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones feints and then cracks Horace's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Horace down.

Horace drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones looking to control.
Horace wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Horace stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Jones is trying to control the position but Horace postures up.
Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jones looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Horace wants to get back to full guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Carl Jones just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Horace misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jones feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Horace's calf.

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Horace's guard.

Horace working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jones tries to land knees in the clinch but Horace avoids the damage to the body.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Jones counters with a slapping leg kick.
Horace tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Horace wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Horace.
Jones throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Horace avoids the head kick by Jones.
Horace tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily
and Jones counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Greg Horace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones throws a leg kick which misses Horace's front leg but catches the back leg as Horace tries to avoid it.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Horace as he jumps to the side.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Jones. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Jones lands with a right hand.

Jones throws a combination. Horace tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Jones connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Jones connects with a solid leg kick.
Horace stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jones.
Horace gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Horace is looking for a triangle here but Jones uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Jones in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Horace can't do much from the bottom here.
Jones in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Horace tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jones remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Horace struggling a bit here.

Jones stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Jones lands a head kick. Horace smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones throws a series of punches but Horace avoids them all with ease.
A slapping leg kick lands for Jones.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carl Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Horace's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Horace tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away.

Carl Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
