Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohamad Izzat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Izzat gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tanaka to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Tanaka is stalling in the full guard.
Tanaka has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Tanaka.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tanaka scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Tanaka works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Izzat has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tanaka is working away from the top position though.
Tanaka seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Izzat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Izzat wants to improve his position but Tanaka is controlling well.

Tanaka in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Izzat tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Tanaka!
