The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alkofer's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Marx connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Alkofer scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd cheers as Marx lands an impressive looking overhand right. Alkofer doesn't seem phased though.
Marx ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alkofer moves away.
Marx scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Alkofer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marx is fending him off so far but Alkofer persists. Nope, Marx circles away and we're back to standing.
