Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ksawery Koltun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akiro Sata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sata has chosen Onward to Victory! as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Ksawery Koltun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Akiro Sata!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koltun feints and then cracks Sata's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sata down.
Sata throws a body kick that misses

and Koltun counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sata is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koltun tries to free his leg and advance position but Sata is retaining full guard.
Koltun is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.

Koltun content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sata wants to improve his position but Koltun is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sata is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Koltun is looking to stall here but Sata recovers full guard.

Sata is looking to stand back up but Koltun counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sata.
Sata tries to roll over but Koltun keeps him under control.

Sata is looking to control Koltun's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sata avoid being mounted?

Koltun is working for a submission of some sort.
Sata keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sata makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sata.
Koltun is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sata utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sata told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Sata looking for a guillotine here but Koltun defends easily.

Sata has his foot on Koltun's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Koltun works his way back into a safe position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Koltun lands with an uppercut that bounces Sata off the cage and back into range.

Koltun is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Koltun lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sata backwards.

Koltun is fighting off a takedown attempt but Sata is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Koltun to the mat. Koltun regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Sata got a little sloppy there for a moment and Koltun has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sata has managed to get both his arms back between Koltun's legs - danger averted.

Sata makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Sata wants to control from the top but Koltun keeps moving.

Koltun is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sata looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Sata is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sata throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Koltun to regain full guard.
Koltun controls Sata momentarily but Sata frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ksawery Koltun will probably get the nod.
That's time! Koltun's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

A looping hook to the body misses from Sata. Koltun does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sata is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Koltun.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Koltun connects with a leg kick. Sata looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Sata scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sata looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Koltun defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sata.
Koltun throws a sloppy head kick and Sata moves out of range easily.
Sata swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sata tries to bum rush Koltun with a series of wild strikes but Koltun uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Koltun looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sata is looking to clinch.
Koltun shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sata as he avoids it easily.
Sata takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Sata lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Sata misses with a right hand

and Koltun counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sata won't be happy with that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Koltun tries to score with some ground and pound. Sata controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Koltun tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Koltun has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Sata tries to reverse the position but Koltun maintains control.

Ksawery Koltun showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Koltun has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Ksawery Koltun was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
