Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Gabriel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rufus Almighty!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almighty rushes Gabriel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gabriel is pressed up against the cage. Almighty has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gabriel down to the mat. Gabriel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Almighty has his takedown stuffed
and Gabriel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gabriel stalks Almighty and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Almighty's face. Almighty staggers backwards, shaken.
Gabriel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Almighty slips a jab and a cross from Gabriel.
Rufus Almighty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Almighty is looking to clinch but Gabriel is avoiding it.
Gabriel scores with a nice right hand.
Nice uppercut lands for Gabriel. That snapped Almighty's head back.
Almighty looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Almighty loads up on a big right hand but Gabriel slips the punch.
A jab from Gabriel does it's job there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gabriel keeps the fight on the outside.
Gabriel throws a left and a right that both miss
and Almighty counters by moving into the clinch.
Almighty misses with a short punch on the inside.
Almighty breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Almighty rushes Gabriel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Almighty is trying to stall.
A frustrated look appears on Gabriel's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Almighty is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gabriel gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Michael Gabriel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rufus Almighty.
Almighty misses with a hook to the ribs.
Gabriel tries to break free but Almighty pushes him back against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Almighty.
Gabriel can't break the clinch.
Almighty's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Some wild striking there from Gabriel.
Almighty takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gabriel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gabriel takes a swing at Almighty's ribcage but misses.
Gabriel falls off balance throwing a combination
and Almighty counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Gabriel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Almighty is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Gabriel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Almighty misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gabriel scores with a shot to the body.
Michael Gabriel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gabriel lands a body shot.
Gabriel throws a nice looking combination but Almighty bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gabriel lands an overhand right.
Almighty shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gabriel as he jumps to the side.
Almighty looks winded!
Gabriel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Almighty tries to clinch up but Gabriel circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round.

Almighty shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gabriel as he avoids it easily.
Gabriel appears to be looking for a big counter.
Almighty gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gabriel.
A head kick by Almighty misses
and Almighty takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gabriel scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Gabriel lands a hook that stumbles Almighty back into the cage. Gabriel follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Almighty to the canvas! Gabriel pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Almighty has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Michael Gabriel!
