Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Jacobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandon Jacobi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Greene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Jacobi!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Greene gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jacobi displaying some good clinch control by pressing Greene up against the cage.
Jacobi has Greene pressed against the cage, preventing Greene from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Jacobi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Greene pulls his leg out and moves away.

Greene closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jacobi quickly recovers to half guard.
Greene tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jacobi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jacobi is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greene trying to control from half guard but Jacobi is working away.

Greene tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Jacobi.
Jacobi moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Greene trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Greene is looking to advance position but Jacobi has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Greene tries to lock up and control but Jacobi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jacobi blocks Greene's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Greene tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Jacobi lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Greene hang on?
Jacobi prevents Greene from getting the reversal.
Jacobi looking to control and managing it successfully.
Jacobi blocks Greene's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Jacobi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Greene is trying to escape the mount.
Jacobi avoids the attempt from Greene to control.

Jacobi lands a big shot there that rocks Greene but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.


It looks like Frank Greene has been cut.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jacobi cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BOOM! Jacobi connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Greene can't escape the position.
Jacobi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Greene swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Greene is trying to escape the mount.
Jacobi controlling the pace for now.

Greene really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Greene knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacobi on the ground.

Greene wants to control but Jacobi is having none of it.
Greene is trying desperately to improve position.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jacobi.
Jacobi gets underhooks to prevent Greene's takedown attempt.
Greene tries to pull guard but Jacobi forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Jacobi is looking to take this one to the mat.

Jacobi is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Jacobi blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Jacobi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jacobi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Greene is trying to control the position but Jacobi postures up.

Greene has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jacobi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Greene has his foot on Jacobi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jacobi works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Greene is trying to hold Jacobi in close to prevent damage but Jacobi has managed to pass into half guard.
Well, if Jacobi is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Greene misses with a body shot.
Greene with a nice cross.

Greene drives through with a takedown into Jacobi's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Brandon Jacobi has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jacobi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jacobi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Greene is looking to control Jacobi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Greene avoid being mounted?
Greene is in trouble now - Jacobi has advanced to mount!
Greene wants to hold on but Jacobi pushes him away.

Greene is looking to improve his position but Jacobi isn't that keen on the idea.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Greene takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Greene tries to reverse the position but Jacobi maintains control.

Brandon Jacobi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Greene misses with a kick to the body.
Jacobi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Greene to counter with a crisp jab.
Greene fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jacobi avoids it really well and circles away.
Jacobi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Greene as he avoids it easily.
It looked like Greene was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Greene stuffs the takedown attempt from Jacobi. Jacobi gets slowly back to his feet.
Frank Greene has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Jacobi.

Greene gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jacobi to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greene bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jacobi's guard.

Greene trying to control but Jacobi is working from the bottom.
Greene wants to get up but he can't break Jacobi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Greene wants to stand and escape but instead Jacobi has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Greene wants to control the position but Jacobi says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Jacobi seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Greene tries to roll over but Jacobi keeps him under control.
Jacobi not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Greene works his way to full guard. Good work.
Jacobi is standing up over Greene. Greene looks to escape but Jacobi dives into side control.
Jacobi gets to mount! Greene was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Greene is desperately trying to improve his position but Jacobi has a good base and remains in mount.

Jacobi pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
