Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ho Chi Min (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Kung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ho Chi Min!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stefan Kung!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kung closes the distance and clinches up with Chi Min, looking for a takedown. Kung pushes Chi Min against the cage but Chi Min circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Stefan Kung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kung misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Chi Min to counter with a crisp jab.
Chi Min misses with a straight left.
Kung shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chi Min defends it nicely.
We've been told by Chi Min's head coaches at Restricted area that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ho Chi Min has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefan Kung.

Chi Min looks to land a body kick but Kung moved away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kung darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kung seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chi Min does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kung is looking to stall here but Chi Min recovers full guard.
Kung makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kung trying to control the position from guard on top but Chi Min is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kung drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chi Min looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chi Min looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chi Min!

Kung tries to buck Chi Min off but Chi Min is having none of it.

Chi Min wants to control but Kung is keeping him busy.
Kung is trying to control Chi Min's posture but Chi Min avoids it.
Kung is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chi Min tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Kung struggling a bit here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kung is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kung is trying to maintain the position but Chi Min is very close to passing his half guard.
Kung has a hand on Chi Min's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Chi Min takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Kung tries to hold on but Chi Min pushes him away.
Kung is looking to improve his position but Chi Min isn't that keen on the idea.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ho Chi Min dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


No luck for Kung with that takedown attempt.
Kung gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Chi Min makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Chi Min pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kung scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
You can see the frustration on Chi Min's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Chi Min is not content to let Kung control the position.

Kung wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chi Min keeps working.

Kung goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Chi Min has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kung but great work by Chi Min.
Kung is looking to regain half guard here but Chi Min keeps moving and retains side control.
Kung is trying to control Chi Min's posture but Chi Min avoids it.
Kung gets back to half guard.

Kung is trying to maintain the position but Chi Min is very close to passing his half guard.
Kung works his way to full guard. Good work.

Kung is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Chi Min trying to control the position from guard on top but Kung is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stefan Kung has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kung is looking for a triangle here but Chi Min uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Kung manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Kung misses with a head shot. Chi Min uses the momentum to regain guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kung accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kung trying to control but Chi Min is working from the bottom.
Kung loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kung throwing strikes from guard but Chi Min blocks nicely.

Stefan Kung showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Chi Min looks to land a combination but Kung avoids it well.

Chi Min lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kung or not.
Chi Min stalling in the clinch but Kung improves position.

Kung is looking to take this one to the mat.
Chi Min lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Kung is trying to drag Chi Min to the mat but Chi Min just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Chi Min lands an elbow that stopped Kung in his tracks for a moment.
Chi Min is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kung can do to turn this around?

Kung shoots for a double leg takedown but Chi Min sprawls well. He's pushed Kung's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Chi Min lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kung backwards.
Kung takes a shot to the head.
Kung misses with the head strike.
Chi Min gets underhooks to prevent Kung's takedown attempt.

Kung struggles to land a body shot inside as Chi Min controls his hands.
Chi Min lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kung backwards.

Kung has a couple of punches blocked by Chi Min.
Chi Min lands a hook that snaps the head of Kung backwards.
Chi Min gets underhooks to prevent Kung's takedown attempt.

Kung has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Chi Min clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Kung takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Even with his hooks in, Kung manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Kung is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Kung is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Chi Min defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Kung is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Chi Min has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Well, with Kung on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Chi Min is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kung connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Chi Min to escape the position.

You can see the frustration on Chi Min's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Ho Chi Min showed his dominance in that final round.
