Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rigoberto Lamas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Danger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamas comes to the cage accompanied by Brazilian National Anthem. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rigoberto Lamas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Danger! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Danger dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Lamas looks to score with a jab to the body but Danger is just out of range. Lamas misses with a body shot.
Danger looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lamas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Danger. Lamas swings widly with a right hand
and Danger counters with a nice uppercut. Danger gets caught napping as Lamas dives in and scores a takedown. Danger manages to retain guard. Lamas looking to pass the guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Danger is on top in guard.
Danger stays in close to Lamas's body and controls the position. Lamas pulls Danger in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lamas trying to control the position.
Lamas looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Danger puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Lamas might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Danger is taking a breather. Lamas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Danger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lamas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lamas trying to hold on to Danger's head to control him but Danger postures up.
Danger looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lamas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Danger's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Danger's back! Danger is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lamas is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Lamas is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Danger knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Danger for a finish. Danger defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Lamas's arms. Danger felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Danger won't enjoy being in this position. Lamas looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Danger is tapping - it's over boys! Lamas picks up the submission victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rigoberto Lamas! Rigoberto Lamas decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
