Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geriopta Hyuopater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Geriopta Hyuopater!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyuopater tries to clinch up but Monroe circles away and keeps his distance.
Monroe sizes up Hyuopater with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Hyuopater with a poor takedown
and Monroe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Monroe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Monroe lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hyuopater showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Monroe.
Hyuopater dives in and grabs Monroe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Monroe pushes down on Hyuopater's head and hops out.
Hyuopater throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Monroe.

Monroe moves into range and clinches up with Hyuopater.
Hyuopater can't break the clinch.
Monroe lands a nice knee to the body.
Monroe misses with a knee to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hyuopater wants to get back to striking at distance but Monroe won't allow it.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hyuopater is trying to stall.
Monroe pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Hyuopater jumps guard but Monroe turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Kyle Monroe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geriopta Hyuopater.
Monroe stalling.
Monroe misses with a knee to the head.
Monroe tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Monroe scores with a shot to the side of Hyuopater's head.

Hyuopater wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Monroe has him pressed against the cage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Monroe tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hyuopater's elbow.
Monroe scores with a hook to the body.
Monroe lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Monroe prevents the takedown attempt.

Monroe tries to land knees in the clinch but Hyuopater avoids the damage to the body.
Monroe scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Monroe jerks Hyuopater's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Hyuopater drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Monroe goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Monroe because Hyuopater was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
