The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bluth throws a combination. Summers tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Summers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
George Oscar Bluth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Summers looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Summers has a takedown stuffed. Summers avoids the head kick by Bluth.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Bluth remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Summers throws a couple of strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Summers gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Summers pushes Bluth off but Bluth dives into side control.

No luck for Summers with that takedown attempt. Bluth throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

A combination from Bluth does no damage. Summers takes a kick to the side of the head. Bluth decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Summers wants to get back to his feet. Summers looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Summers punching from the bottom.
Bluth is looking to take a break and control but Summers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bluth is really struggling to control Summers but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Summers bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Summers postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Summers cracks Bluth with a solid left hand. Summers drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bluth manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Summers has Bluth in his guard. Summers throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Summers is breathing heavily. Summers is looking for a triangle but Bluth pushes his legs off easily.
Bluth avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

George Oscar Bluth dominated that second round. That's time! Bluth's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Summers scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bluth is trying to get back to half guard. Summers working the strikes but Bluth uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Summers looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Summers throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Summers scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Summers missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Summers prevents Bluth from improving his position. Summers is thwarting Bluth's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Summers throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Summers seems to be working for a kimura but Bluth defends the submission attempt. Summers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bluth has hold of Summers's hands but Summers slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Summers is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bluth has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Summers is working away from the top position though. Summers thows a huge punch but Bluth dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Summers seems to be working for a kimura but Bluth defends the submission attempt. Scott Summers has got the better of the ground game so far. Summers is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bluth defends it well. Bluth is looking to control Summers's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bluth avoid being mounted? Summers thows a huge punch but Bluth dodges it nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bluth gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Bluth content to slow the pace in the clinch.
