Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Montana misses.
Montana tries to clinch but Ass moves out of range.
Montana throws a sloppy head kick and Ass moves out of range easily.
Montana moves into range and clinches up with Ass.
Ass avoiding damage as Montana throws knees to the body.
Montana keeps control of Ass as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ass pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Montana wants to clinch.
Ass wants to clinch but Montana slips to the side
and Montana counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Montana.
Ass is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Montana has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ass wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Montana manages to pass to side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Montana throws a strike but Ass rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Montana throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Montana looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ass is one step ahead there.
Montana will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ass wants to stand but Montana has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Ass stands and throws Montana's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Ass tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
A lull in the action here as Ass stalls from top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ass taking a break here but Montana is having none of it and regains half guard.
Montana wants to improve his position but Ass is controlling well.
Well, if Ass is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Ass is looking to take a break and control but Montana is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ass shoots for a takedown but Montana saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Montana throws a right and a left that Ass avoids nicely.
Montana tries to clinch up
and Ass counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ass.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick misses from Ass.
Montana lands with a kick to the temple. Ass shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Montana closes the distance and clinches.
Montana gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Ass stops a takedown attempt from Montana.
Ass has had enough of the clinch but Montana keeps him there for the moment.
Montana breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Montana lands a head kick!
Ass throws a head kick that misses
and Montana counters by clinching up.
Ass is breathing heavily.
Ass drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Montana gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Montana escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Montana rushes Ass and presses him up against the cage.

Montana pulls Ass into guard.
Ass wants to control from the top but Montana keeps moving.
Ass is looking to work some ground and pound but Montana has wrist control.
Ass drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Montana manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ass has Montana in his guard.
Ass keeping moving, preventing Montana from controlling successfully.

Ass wants to sweep but no luck.
Montana trying to control the position from guard on top but Ass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ass working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Montana doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Montana manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ass is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Montana postures up and lands a big shot to Ass's brow.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Montana looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ass is fending him off so far but Montana persists. Nope, Ass circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tango Montana dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Montana tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Montana counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Ass is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Montana postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ass looks a forlorn figure.
Montana tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

BOOM! Montana connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ass is desperately trying to improve his position but Montana has a good base and remains in mount.
Montana looking to control and managing it successfully.

The referee warns Ass that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
