The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wendinger drives through and clinches with Garson against the cage.
Wendinger avoiding damage as Garson throws knees to the body.
Wendinger lands a nice shot to the body.
Wendinger keeps control of Garson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Garson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Garson tightens his grip and picks Wendinger up, before dumping him to the ground. Wendinger manages to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wendinger not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wendinger looking to control but Garson passes into half guard.

Garson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wendinger sees it coming and defends easily.

Wendinger has one foot on Garson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Wendinger fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Garson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Garson has a takedown stuffed.

Wendinger decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Garson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Garson lands a good shot there. Wendinger covers up! Garson smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Wendinger to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Garson jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!
