Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henkka Seppala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esteban Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seppala comes to the cage accompanied by Children of Bodom - Smile pretty for the devil. Scott has chosen Scotty Doesn't Know as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henkka Seppala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Esteban Scott!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seppala waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Scott.
Scott staying out of range there.
Despite the aggression on Scott's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Seppala throws a right and a left that both miss.
Scott gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Seppala.
Seppala takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Seppala is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Scott.
Scott keeps the fight on the outside.
Seppala connects with a jab.
Seppala avoids the head kick by Scott.
Scott throws a leg kick
and Seppala counters with a leg kick.
Seppala stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Scott.
Seppala lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Seppala takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Seppala scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

We've been informed that Scott has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Scott bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Scott circles away from the clinch attempt.
Scott unleashes a big counter combination but Seppala bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Scott goes for a double leg but Seppala avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Seppala continues to drive forward.
Seppala has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Death Valley Training Facility in the buildup to the fight.

Scott looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

That kick from Scott tenderised Seppala's leg. Seppala is trying to keep his angry face on.

Scott's corner calls for a 1-2. Scott obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Seppala. Scott does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Seppala counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Scott throws a series of strikes that have Seppala backpedaling.


It looks like Henkka Seppala has been cut.
Scott lands a front kick.
Scott closes the distance and clinches up with Seppala, looking for a takedown. Scott pushes Seppala against the cage but Seppala circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Scott throws a front kick aimed at Seppala's knee but Seppala avoids it well.
A punch combination from Scott misses.
Scott lands a head kick!


Seppala is rocked!
Scott goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Scott doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Scott throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Scott throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Good leg kick by Scott there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Seppala scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Scott shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Scott is working for a kimura here but Seppala manages to reverse the position and he's now in Scott's guard.

Scott is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Seppala is aware though and is defending well.
Scott looking to hit a scissor sweep but Seppala is one step ahead there.
Seppala connects with a couple of short punches.
Seppala tries to free his leg and advance position but Scott is retaining full guard.
Scott is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Seppala wants to control but Scott is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Scott or perhaps it was just good defense by Seppala, which made it look bad.

Seppala had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Scott defends it easily.

I would just about give that final round to Esteban Scott.
I think Scott has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
