Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Robbins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dylan Robbins will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominick Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dylan Robbins! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robbins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Robbins lands in his opponent's guard. Cruz looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Cruz lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Robbins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Robbins wants to stand up but Cruz is controlling him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robbins is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz wants to control but Robbins is keeping him busy. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Robbins can do anything to dispel that myth. Robbins is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Cruz content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Robbins prevents Cruz from moving into mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. You can see the frustration on Robbins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The referee asks Cruz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Cruz prefers to stall for the moment though. Robbins wants to control but Cruz postures up. Robbins gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Robbins keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Robbins is looking for a sweep. Cruz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cruz misses with a body kick. Robbins goes for a double leg but Cruz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cruz continues to drive forward. Cruz cracks the inside of Robbins's front leg. Robbins shoots in and gets a takedown into Cruz's guard. Cruz tries to land a sweep but no joy. Robbins trying to control the position from guard on top but Cruz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cruz working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Robbins. Robbins cracks Cruz with a solid left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Robbins forces his way into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robbins wants to stand up but Cruz is controlling the position.
Cruz wants to stand back up but Robbins manages to pass into side control.
Cruz is not content to let Robbins control the position. Robbins thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Robbins looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cruz fails to land the takedown. Robbins darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Cruz is refusing to be controlled, as Robbins sits in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cruz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robbins is trying to control. Cruz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. It looks like Robbins is going to stand back up.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Cruz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Robbins is thwarting Cruz's attempts to control the position. Robbins wants to control but Cruz is keeping him busy.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Robbins throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Robbins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cruz tries to avoid it but Robbins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cruz to the ground. Cruz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cruz stuffs the takedown. Cruz tries to move into range but Robbins moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A head kick misses from Cruz. Robbins shoots in but no luck this time. Cruz is looking for a counter combo. Dominick Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Robbins. Cruz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Robbins, pushing him back against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Cruz.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robbins successfully pulls guard.
Cruz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Robbins is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cruz, into his guard. Cruz lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Robbins trying to keep a closed guard but Cruz is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Robbins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cruz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Robbins wants to sweep here but Cruz controlling him for the moment. Cruz trying to control the position from guard on top but Robbins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Robbins throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Cruz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Robbins wants to stand up but Cruz is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dylan Robbins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Cruz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Cruz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Robbins is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Robbins tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Cruz is looking to stand up but Robbins isn't so interested in that idea. Cruz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Robbins is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robbins looking to sit in guard and control but Cruz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robbins looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Cruz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Robbins trying to keep a closed guard but Cruz is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Robbins is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Robbins is looking for a triangle here but Cruz uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Robbins pushes Cruz away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cruz gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Cruz stands up and beckons Robbins to his feet. Robbins goes for a double leg but Cruz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cruz continues to drive forward. Cruz is looking to counter the offense by Robbins and move into the clinch. Robbins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cruz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Robbins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The fight moves into the clinch position. Cruz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Robbins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Cruz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Robbins. Dominick Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Robbins. Cruz leaves Robbins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cruz closes the distance and clinches. Robbins is trying to drag Cruz to the mat but Cruz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Robbins jumps guard but Cruz stands there with Robbins around his waist. Robbins gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cruz manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Cruz is looking to cinch up a triangle. Robbins throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Cruz's body to avoid the submission. Cruz has instead reached around Robbins's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Cruz arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
