Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamey Stuart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerald Hendo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamey Stuart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gerald Hendo!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Hendo scores with a takedown into Stuart's guard.
Hendo prevents Stuart from getting back to his feet.
Hendo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Stuart could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Stuart wants to sweep here but Hendo controlling him for the moment.
Stuart is trying to keep Hendo in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hendo looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Stuart is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hendo dives into side control.

Hendo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stuart looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Stuart changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hendo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hendo is trying to control Stuart's posture but Stuart avoids it.

Stuart passes into side control, despite Hendo's attempt to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hendo can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ground and pound from Stuart seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Hendo wants to control but Stuart postures up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Stuart shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hendo eats them both and turns towards Stuart to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Stuart tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hendo swivels and escapes.

Hendo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Stuart is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close round but Gerald Hendo will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hendo slaps away a takedown attempt from Stuart, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Stuart gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Stuart is trying to drag Hendo to the mat but Hendo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Stuart gets control of Hendo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stuart will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Hendo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Stuart has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hendo has passed into side control.
Hendo wants to stand but Stuart is controlling his arm.

Stuart seems a little lost for a moment, as Hendo dominates the positioning.
Stuart is trying to improve his position.

Hendo decides to stand back up. Hendo steps back and let's Stuart get back to his feet.

Stuart gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hendo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hendo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Stuart is trying to keep Hendo in close.

Stuart controls Hendo momentarily but Hendo frees himself.
Gerald Hendo has got the better of the ground game so far.

Hendo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stuart manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hendo has Stuart in his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hendo has his hands on Stuart's head, controlling the position.
Stuart postures up in Hendo's guard and throws a big left but Hendo blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Hendo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stuart doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stuart manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gerald Hendo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Hendo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stuart manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Stuart is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Stuart is looking to stand up but Hendo isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hendo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Stuart gets caught napping as Hendo dives in and scores a takedown. Stuart manages to retain guard.
Hendo is looking to advance position but Stuart has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Stuart swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hendo is now in Stuart's guard. A big mistake from Stuart there, giving up the dominant position!

Stuart wants to sweep here but Hendo controlling him for the moment.
Hendo stands and throws Stuart's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Stuart is trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hendo moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Hendo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stuart has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hendo but great work by Stuart.
Hendo can't do much from the bottom here.

Hendo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Hendo wants to stand but Stuart has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Stuart scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Hendo manages to mount him!
Stuart tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hendo wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Hendo looking to control but Stuart is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gerald Hendo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Hendo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
