Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Wyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musial Stanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wyatt comes to the cage accompanied by ''Broken Out In Love''. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Wyatt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Musial Stanson!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wyatt looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Wyatt is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Stanson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Stanson is defending against the submission attempts here by Wyatt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stanson is trying to maintain the position but Wyatt is very close to passing his half guard.

Wyatt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stanson's head.
Stanson is looking to control Wyatt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stanson avoid being mounted?
Wyatt tries to pass to full mount but Stanson defends it.
Stanson wants to improve his position but Wyatt is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stanson looks like he's trying to stand up.

Wyatt seems to be looking for submissions.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wyatt landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Stanson is looking to control Wyatt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stanson avoid being mounted?

Stanson has one foot on Wyatt's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Wyatt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Stanson wants to sweep here but Wyatt controlling him for the moment.

Stanson turns into Wyatt and is now in his guard.
Stanson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Stanson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Wyatt keeping moving, preventing Stanson from controlling successfully.
Stanson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Stanson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wyatt haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Wyatt is stalling here. Stanson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wyatt seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Stanson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Stanson is just content to waste time from the top position. Wyatt takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Wyatt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stanson can do to turn this around?
Stanson wants to control from the top but Wyatt keeps moving.

Wyatt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stanson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Wyatt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stanson's guard.

Stanson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Stanson is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Wyatt lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Stanson hang on?
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Stanson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Stanson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wyatt doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stanson.
Wyatt wants to improve his position but Stanson is controlling well.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Stanson is looking for a kimura but Wyatt is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stanson to get the leverage.

Stanson pushes Wyatt off and gets back to his feet.

Wyatt tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wyatt has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Stanson is looking for a sweep.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Wyatt laying and praying for a moment but Stanson takes advantage and regains half guard.
Musial Stanson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wyatt winds up and cracks Stanson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

John Wyatt showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Wyatt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
