Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maro Brito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lamar Odom!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odom works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Maro Brito has been cut.
Odom throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brito.
Brito drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
No luck for Brito with that takedown attempt.
Odom avoids the head kick by Brito.
Brito tries to close the distance and clinch but Odom swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Brito is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Odom.
Brito fails in his attempt to clinch.
Odom lands a big uppercut and Brito crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Brito looks OK. Odom waves Brito back to his feet!
Brito is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brito tries to clinch up but Odom circles away and keeps his distance.
Odom is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Brito hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Lamar Odom!
